Serenity Home and Spa Shoppe is the realization of a dream that began over 30 years ago to one day open a boutique that specializes in Home decor and Spa retail.

Owners Deanna and Darren have spent the past 45+ years living in small towns and big cities across the United States and have traveled to a number of places across the globe. Their vast professional careers have encompassed entrepreneurship, customer service, management, consulting and roles at both small businesses and corporate firms. Their experiences have spanned a number of industries, including retail, banking, hospitality, as well as spa and wellness, just to name a few.

All of these life experiences have culminated in an opportunity to bring their dream into reality in one of the friendliest and most hospitable towns they’ve experienced. They were inspired to open their shoppe at the corner of 1st and Main streets and as they began to uncover the history behind the historic location, they felt more convinced of this serendipitous decision.

Back in the 1800’s, Silverton’s Old Oak Tree once stood right outside the front door of the Odd Fellow’s Building in what once was the center of town. Early Silverton pioneers developed the townsite around the tree, which stood for many years near the intersection and was a well-known stopping point for people traveling on the Molalla Trail (now known as Hwy 213). Native Americans, followed by Silverton pioneers would hitch their horses and then meet to swap news, debate current issues and play marbles.

Deanna and Darren hope to bring together their eclectic life and business experiences to encourage and continue that spirit of community treasured by Silvertonians since those early days. They hope to create a unique atmosphere and provide a set of retail offerings that are both interesting and elegant.

Please stop by to say hello.
